The authors reviewed and suggested that; habitat fragmentation ideally has two independent definitions; a conceptual definition, which includes the general situations for theoretical discussion, which the review focused on, and a situational definition that associates to specific studies. In addition, they have studied the difference between the terms habitat fragmentation and habitat heterogeneity.
