Stratégie mondiale de conservation : Conservation des ressources vivantes pour un développement durable.

The World Conservation Strategy has been positively engaged in the effective management of living resources and deliver legal procedures for the integration of stakeholders (i.e., governmental and non-governmental organizations) in the process of living resource management. One of the primary objectives of the World Conservation Strategy in common is to ensure the ecological preservation of genetic diversity (i.e., the dynamic range of genetic material naturally found in the world’s organisms).

To succeeded and assured the preservation and conservation of management plans for genetic resources strong and effective legal documents, proper governmental and non-governmental organization, trained professional, active participation of local communities, and as well as effective coordination of all parties must be needed.

This guide concluded that to achieve and ensure the management capacity of the proper preservation of genetic diversity for the long-term conservation, the collection of genetic material in gene bank (ex-situ conservation), plantations, and the like, in the case of off-site preservation; and native ecosystem protection in the case of on-site preservation should be needed.

According to the World Conservation Strategy practical guidance to ensure the effective protection and successful conservation of living resources through the implementation of integrated strategic plans needed. However, to achieve those plans there must be clear legal documents that could monitor and evaluate all the practices. In addition, there should be effective coordination to take the right commitment and specific responsibilities among independent organizations for the conservation of living resources.
